The name Matru Sparsh has a special meaning. Matru in Sanskrit means mother and Sparsh means touch. So, Matru Sparsh here means gentle, motherly touch. In my acupuncture practice I palpate channels, take pulse, and also massage if needed which all involves gently touching the patient. Since my student days, when I massage or palpate my patients, my patients used to compliment me saying they were reminded of mother’s gentle touch. I am blessed with divine mother’s grace to offer this practice to help others through acupuncture.
